We are a small family owned business specialising in Luxury Dog Friendly holiday cottages on the stunning Northumberland Coast.

 

Having spent years trying to find the perfect holiday cottage for our family and dogs we decided to create our own Luxury collection of cottages that meet our exceptionally high standards.

 

Our aim is to offer a friendly, informative, flexible and unrivalled service to our guests. We go the extra mile to ensure our guests have the most memorable and relaxing time in our cottages and do our best to accommodate every request.

 

Our first cottage “Gerties Getaway”opened its doors to guests in July 2019 and we haven’t looked back, adding “Tilly’s Lookout” in 2020, “Dexter Den” and Shanes Retreat in 2021 and - The Hideaway - Warkworth in 2022

In both 2020 and 2021 Gerties Getaway was awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and we have achieved Airbnb  “Superhost” status each year since 2020.

In 2023 we were crowned the winner of  the prestigious LUXE resorts and retreats award for Best Luxury Dog -Friendly Holiday Cottages in North East England.

 

As our properties are privately owned and managed by ourselves there are no agents fees or third party commissions for our guests to pay and our guests deal with us every step of the way.

 

We take pride in ensuring our standards of accommodation are exceptional, from luxury bedding, accommodation that is spotlessly clean, to locally sourced welcome packs.
